For Member Club Curators
For membership events. The members and the events, in one place.
Your members join a community with dues billed monthly or yearly. Events can be open to members only or to everyone. The ticketing, the guest list and your email campaigns live in the same account as the membership.
A membership event is an event run for the members of a paid program: a supper club, a professional circle, an alumni chapter, a patron program. On SocialLoop the program lives in a community. Members join through one or more membership tiers billed monthly or yearly, with approval if you want it. Each event can be visible to members only or to the public; hidden ticket tiers unlocked with a code hold seats for members or sponsors; and approval-gated tickets charge a card only when you accept.
The membership shape
A membership isn't a discount. It's a relationship. People join because they want to belong to something that keeps happening, and the events are where that belonging shows up.
The usual setup splits that relationship across tools: a subscription tool for dues, an event tool for tickets, a spreadsheet to reconcile who is a member. SocialLoop keeps the community, its membership tiers and its events in one account, so the guest list and the member list are the same people.
What you get on SocialLoop
Paid membership tiers
One or more membership tiers, each billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Require approval to join when the program is selective.
Members-only events
Set an event to be visible to members only or to everyone. Choose a default for the community and change it per event.
Hidden tiers unlocked with a code
Keep a ticket tier off the public page and share its code with members, sponsors or regulars.
Approval before a card is charged
For selective events, the card is held when someone applies and charged only when you accept.
Payouts to the community's own Stripe account
Ticket revenue for a community's events can be paid to the community's connected Stripe account rather than a personal one.
The pains we built this for
Dues in one tool, tickets in another
When membership and events live in separate tools, someone ends up reconciling who is a member by hand. Here they share one account.
Members finding out about events late
Members-only events are listed only inside your community, and their page asks visitors to sign in as a member; anyone with the link still sees the event’s name, date and cover in link previews.
Selective programs with leaky entry
Approval to join, approval for paid tickets, and code-locked tiers keep the room the room you meant.
Common questions
What kinds of programs run membership events on SocialLoop?
Supper clubs, professional circles, founder forums with annual dues, alumni chapters, patron programs, run clubs with paid membership. Anywhere membership is a relationship layer on top of individual events.
How are members billed?
Each membership tier is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. You can offer more than one tier and require approval before someone joins.
Can I make an event members-only?
Yes. A community event can be visible to members only or to the public. The community has a default and each event can change it.
Can members get seats the public can't?
Yes, with a hidden ticket tier: it stays off the public page and opens with a code you share with members. SocialLoop does not run timed early-access windows or automatic member pricing.
Where does the money go?
Ticket revenue for a community's events can be paid to the community's own connected Stripe account. Ticket sales paid to a community's account carry a 5% platform fee whatever your plan, as do membership dues; events paid out to you follow your plan's fee.
How is this different from a subscription tool plus an event tool?
A subscription tool handles dues but doesn't know about your events, and an event tool handles tickets but doesn't know who your members are. SocialLoop keeps the community, its membership tiers and its events in the same account.
