Community text updates

Subscribe to news, invitations, upcoming gatherings, and schedule updates from communities you choose. This optional program is separate from updates about an event you have already joined.

How to subscribe

  1. Open a community page, such as The Outies, and select the bell, Subscribe to updates.
  2. Sign in or create an account. Account creation alone does not subscribe you to community texts.
  3. Select Text updates, initially unchecked for new subscriptions. Review your account phone number or enter the number where you want updates, including the country code. Select Verify phone or Send verification code and enter the one-time code when the number is not already verified on your account.
  4. Read the disclosure naming that community, then select Subscribe to updates or Subscribe & join free. Membership approval, if required by the community, must happen before delivery.

After a confirmed RSVP or ticket purchase, you can also use the optional Stay up to date popup, or reopen it with Community updates on your ticket or confirmed RSVP. It lists the event’s approved communities by name, with separate Email and Text choices. New choices start unchecked; existing subscriptions show their saved state. Open More communities to see additional communities, choose your channels and contact details, then select Save preferences. You can close the popup or choose Maybe later; ticket access and membership do not depend on subscribing. Saved choices and previously shown prompts are remembered so the same popup does not open on every visit. If membership is pending, delivery waits for approval. The new ticket-screen text entry point is awaiting activation; choices saved there will not send texts until it is ready. The existing community-page subscription flow remains active.

Subscribe & join free (submit action in the actual form)

SMS consent is separate from email and free membership. Text delivery requires the selected phone to match the verified phone on your account. Verification alone does not subscribe you. We record your community, selected number, choice, timestamp and disclosure version. We do not infer this consent from creating an account, RSVPing, or appearing on an uploaded contact list.

Messages and frequency

Up to 15 messages per month across the platform. Message and data rates may apply. Subscribing triggers one confirmation once membership is active; future messages identify the community and SocialLoop.

Stop updates or get help

In My membership → Manage membership, turn off text updates or select Stop receiving updates for just that community. Your membership and other communities stay unchanged.

Reply STOP to block messages from the sending number, including other communities using it. Reply START to restore messaging after a prior STOP; START is not required for an initial web subscription. Reply HELP or contact support@socialloop.ai.
