Comparison
SocialLoop vs Eventbrite. One studio, not a stack.
Eventbrite is the legacy default for public-volume ticketing. SocialLoop replaces Eventbrite + Mailchimp + a spreadsheet with one event management platform. Built for hosts who run recurring, ticketed event series with real operational depth.
SocialLoop vs Eventbrite comes down to whether you want a ticketing tool plus a separate email tool plus a separate affiliate tool, or one studio that does all of it. Eventbrite is built for high-volume public ticketing and its discovery marketplace. SocialLoop ships AI event creation, AI-drafted email campaigns, application-gated ticketing with capture-on-approval, and a native affiliate program with automated Stripe Connect payouts. For recurring + ticketed + affiliate-driven event series, SocialLoop replaces the legacy stack entirely.
Eventbrite is built for one shape
High-volume public ticketed events with discovery driven by Eventbrite's consumer marketplace. Eventbrite does that well. If your event sells out from Eventbrite's public listings and the legacy stack works for you, no need to switch.
SocialLoop is built for hosts whose events outgrew that shape — where the audience comes from your community partners and recurring members, where you want one studio instead of stitching tools together.
The consolidation play
Most Eventbrite hosts who run a recurring series end up with a stack:
- Eventbrite for the public ticket page
- Mailchimp for email campaigns to past attendees
- Google Sheets for guest list management and affiliate reconciliation
- Venmo or PayPal for paying promoters
SocialLoop replaces all of that with one studio.
What SocialLoop ships natively
AI event creation
Describe an event in a prompt. AI generates listing, ticket tiers, schedule, promotional copy.
Application-gated ticketing
Stripe capture-on-approval lets you curate every guest before charging.
Hidden tiers unlocked with a code
Keep a tier off the public page and give sponsors or regulars a code that reveals it. Eventbrite offers hidden tickets with access codes too.
Automated affiliate / community-partner payouts
Define per-tier commissions, invite affiliates in bulk, automate Stripe payouts post-event. Promoters never see your guest list. Paid through Stripe Connect once a hold ends (the later of 7 days after the sale or 3 days after the event) and the affiliate has earned at least $10 in commission and SocialLoop has earned at least $5 in fees from that affiliate’s sales.
Email campaigns AI can draft
Describe the message and AI drafts the email, sent to your contact lists from the same account as your ticketing.
Sales traced to their source
Trackable links tagged by source and campaign, and every affiliate sale attributed to the promoter who drove it.
Communities with dues
Public or private communities with monthly or yearly dues, and events listed only inside your community for its members.
Common questions
Is SocialLoop an Eventbrite alternative?
For hosts who want promoters paid automatically, approval before a card is charged, communities with membership dues, or one account in place of Eventbrite + Mailchimp + a spreadsheet, SocialLoop is a strong alternative. For public events that sell through Eventbrite’s marketplace, Eventbrite remains the better choice.
When should I stay on Eventbrite?
For high-volume public ticketing where Eventbrite's discovery marketplace is the primary acquisition channel, or for events where the legacy stack already works fine. SocialLoop is built for the operator depth in between consumer event tools and enterprise platforms.
When should I move to SocialLoop?
When you find yourself stitching together Eventbrite + Mailchimp + a spreadsheet to run your event series. When you want application gating, secret tiers, automated affiliate commissions, or AI campaigns.
How does SocialLoop replace Eventbrite + Mailchimp + a spreadsheet?
Event creation, ticketing, AI campaigns, affiliate program with automated payouts, source attribution, guest list management, mobile check-in — all in one studio. Each tool you currently use has a native equivalent on SocialLoop, integrated, with shared data.
How do the fees compare?
Eventbrite charges a per-ticket service fee plus payment processing. SocialLoop’s Free plan covers 1 event per month, and paid plans raise that. On paid tickets the platform fee is 5% on every plan. Card processing is 3.4% + 30¢ per order. When fees are passed to the buyer, which is the default, a 50¢ service charge, kept by SocialLoop, is added and the platform fee has a $1 minimum per order, never more than the order itself. Verify current pricing on each provider directly.
Can I migrate from Eventbrite?
Yes. Export your attendee list from Eventbrite, import it into My Network as a CSV, Excel or Numbers file, recreate the next event with its tiers (application gates and secret tiers if you need them), and invite promoters. Importing a contact does not give you permission to email them, so email only the people who agreed to hear from you. Past orders stay on Eventbrite, and there is no one-click event import.
